If you want to do something, the only way to do it is to go ahead and do it.

That's kind of tautological, but I think it's good advice none the less. There are a lot of people out there who want to do stuff, but who never manage to because they don't take that critical first step of setting pencil to paper and getting to work.

I'm as prone to this as anyone. I have to constantly remind myself that if I don't do something, it won't get done. This week I pledge to send off a TV script proposal that I've been sitting on for a couple of months. I don't know if anything will come of it, but the important thing is to try.
