This week my students are going on a three day camping trip. This will effectively give me a vacation
as well. I'll still have to go to work, of course, but without students there won't be much for me to
do but work on my projects. This is actually better than a real vacation, since I won't be able to stay
in bed all morning and goof off all afternoon.
I've got a backload of stuff to work on this week: I need to get the art cleaned up for the Voles of the Dusk
book, add some new meshes to GearHead and get the new release out the door, draw some art for the new GH home page,
get the scripts ready for my collaborative projects, and do some work on something that I haven't announced to the
world yet. My root beer project has been abandoned for the time being. Life is too short, and likely to be even
shorter if I mix up any more advanced root beer substitute like the last batch. Besides, I've found a shop online
that sells a mystery pack of 24 different root beers that can be shipped anywhere in the world.
In keeping with my tradition of assigning theme songs to all Martyr w/o a Cause characters, Appalachia's
song is "Sugar Ray" by The Jesus and Mary Chain: sleazy, sexy, and surprisingly well-read.
